The Pendulum

The original packet is put back on top of the deck, and the cards are cut a number of times. The magician divides the deck into two packets, and the magician uses the power of the pendulum to divine which packet the selected card is in. The remaining packet is divided between the two spectators, who then shuffle their packets.
